1835 half rupee coin of east india company of is issued during tjhe reign of William iv king. This coin was made of  silver. In the year 1757 i.e. about 264 years ago, on August 19, the East India Company had issued the first coin. This coin was minted from Kolkata Mint. Although the East India Company had already established coin-making mints at Surat, Ahmedabad and Bombay.
